Painting now forms the centre of Daniels Zemtautis’ practice. Working primarily with oil and acrylic on canvas, he explores the figure through attachment, rupture, self-destruction and emotional tension.

The physical process remains visible in the finished work: worn edges, layered surfaces and deliberate destruction become part of the image. Murals, painted objects and live performance remain an extended part of the wider practice.
